Psalms 91

4 With His feathers He will cover you, and under His wings you shall seek refuge; His truth is a shield and buckler.

 

Isaiah 49

2 And He made My mouth like a sharp sword; He hid Me in the shadow of His hand, and made Me a polished arrow; He hid Me in His quiver;

3 and said to Me, You are My servant, Israel, You in whom I shall be glorified.

 

 

 

 

Psalms 91

11 For He shall give His angels charge over You, to keep You in all Your ways.

12 They shall bear You up in their hands, that You not dash Your foot on a stone.

 

Matthew 4

6 And he said to Him, If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down; for it has been written: "He shall give His angels charge concerning You, and they shall bear You on their hands, lest You strike Your foot against a stone." Psa. 91:11, 12

7 Jesus said to him, Again it has been written: "You shall not tempt the Lord your God." Deut. 6:16

 

 

 

 

Luke 4

9 And he led Him to Jerusalem, and stood Him on the wing of the temple, and said to Him, If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here;

10 for it has been written: "He will command His angels about You, even to protect You,"

11 "that on their hands they shall bear You, that you not strike Your foot against a stone." Psa. 91:11, 12

12 And answering, Jesus said to him, It has been said: "You shall not tempt the Lord your God." Deut. 6:16

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

**notice that Christ does NOT argue with Satan's point that Psalm 91 is about Himself. Ironically, Satan applies the Psalms to Christ (and Christ doesn't dispute this). Yet, how many ministers will apply all the Psalms to Christ? Aren't they worse than the devil himself (if possible!) ?
